        What are Rice Cookers?

A rice cooker is an automated countertop device designed to steam or boil rice and cook it to perfection. It consists of a cooking bowl, a thermostat, and a heat source. The thermostat measures temperature in the bowl to ensure the rice cooks all through consistently. A rice cooker for home knows when it has completed cooking the rice by checking the temperature, which must reach the appropriate setpoint. It happens when the rice absorbs a certain amount of water.

Typically, the rice cooker uses a 2 to 1 water to rice ratio and automatically switches off if the rice absorbs enough water. From a large rice cooker to a small rice cooker, there are many types of rice cookers on the market.

        Stainless Steel Rice Cookers

If you’re looking for the best non toxic rice cooker, a stainless steel rice cooker would be an ideal choice. Steel is a non-reactive material, so it preserves the nutritional value and flavor of your rice. It will not rust and peel or tarnish, so you can always cook your rice confident it will not absorb unwanted flavors or odors. Besides, a stainless steel automatic rice cooker is durable as the material does not peel easily. Also, you can be confident the cooker will maintain a good appearance over the long term.

        Non-Toxic Rice Cookers

Finding the best non toxic rice cooker begins with paying attention to the materials used in making the cooker. Many cookers come with a non-stick aluminum inner pot. When something scratches the non-stick coating, the pot leaches toxic chemicals into your food. The best solution is finding a cooker made with Teflon alternatives, including stainless steel and clay. Such materials do not release toxins. Getting a high-quality cooker does not mean you must shun cheap rice cooker models, as there are a few you could find that meet these health safety conditions.

        Induction Rice Cookers

An induction rice cooker is more responsive to change in temperature and allows you to make precise and instantaneous adjustments. It’s efficient and faster, allowing you to cook rice in a short period. Because of its conductivity, an induction rice cooker ensures even cooking in the pot.
